Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) operate in line with the Government priorities for the Telecommunication sector to lead the Digital Transformation journey towards Digital Tanzania. Our CSR programs are aligned to the National Development Vision 2025 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals for ICT Development, Education, Empowerment of Women creating positive social impact.

The Future of Tech is Female

Over the years we have been working in partnership with Computer Applications for Girls’ Foundation (Apps and Girls) to bridge the tech gender gap in Tanzania. This partnership has supported interventions in schools and the entire community where girls and young women have been impacted and led to the birth of tech entrepreneurs, tech creators, tech role models, and leaders driving change across Tanzania.
STEM Education

Tigo E-schools – Empowering the Future

We provide internet connectivity to public secondary school in the United Republic of Tanzania. Internet connectivity plays a critical role in the success of e-schools, enabling seamless communication, access to educational resources, and interactive learning experiences. More than 3,000 students accessed Digital learning in education through provision of free internet to secondary schools.

Tigo Mobility​

Our vision and mission is to sustainably improve the lives of the most with vulnerable populations. Clubfoot is the most common congenital birth defect of the musculoskeletal system, in Tanzania, approximately 2,700 children are born annually with clubfoot, which if left untreated leads to lifelong disability impeding mobility and causing pain. Tigo supports the treatment of clubfoot disability to children under 5 years at CCBRT, aims to treat a minimum of 220 children per year requiring orthopedic and reconstructive interventions as well as rehabilitation. ensuring continued follow up.

Tigo Green for Kilimanjaro

The Tigo Green For Kili Tree Planting Project addresses the pressing issue of deforestation, promote environmental sustainability, and create a healthier and greener future for our community. Trees play a vital role in mitigating the impact of climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and producing oxygen. However, deforestation has led to a reduction in the number of trees, leading to an increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

  • Customers should give their correct information only, by filling in and signing the device loan form.
  • Customer must pay initial deposit first before taking the mobile phone.
  • In case of failure to self-pay, TIGO will deduct the daily fee amount from your Tigopesa account.
  • Loan Repayment
    • You will be deducted from the amount you have skipped or due direct from your Tigopesa.
    • If payment is not made in time, the expected repayment will be deducted from your Tigopesa account.
    • You proceed with manual repayment through USSD Main menu *147*00# or Tigopesa App.
  • Upon an event of default, customer agree for any one or more of the following actions to be exercised:
    • Lock the device which will prevent from using any of the device functionality.
    • Require to immediately pay the outstanding unpaid amount financed.
    • A locked device can only be unlocked by paying the outstanding via Tigopesa app only.
  • For every repayment customer will receive his/her daily offer of MBs and if not, offer will be received.
  • The device will remain to be owned by HONORA TANZANIA PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY unless the loan is completed.
  • You will be able to get another loan if you have completed your loan and your tenure for loan.
